ILSE Senior Tutors and Tutors Risk Assessment Meeting took place in Ter Heijde, The Netherlands, September 30 – October 2, 2016.
The participants worked on the drafts and discussed amendments of the new Risk Assessment Pool Safety Guidelines, developed by Mikael Olausson from ILSE Member Swedish Lifesaving Society,
and the new Risk Assessment report for pools, which was drafted by ILSE RA Senior Tutor Martin O’Sullivan from Irish Water Safety. The discussions were supported by ILSE Juridical Advisor Clive Holland.
Both documents must be ratified by ILSE Rescue Commission and agreed by ILSE Board of Directors at their next meetings in 2017.
ILSE Senior Tutors and Tutors took the opportunity to visit the water safety center of KNBRD in Ter Heijde and thanked Martin and Folkert Hoogslag from KNBRD, The Netherlands, for their efforts to organise the meeting.
