Collection and Use of Your Data

The scope and nature of the collection and use of your data vary according to whether you are visiting our website only for the purpose of retrieving information or taking advantage of services offered by us:

Informational use

For a merely informational use of our web pages, it is not generally necessary for you to disclose personal data.

Rather, in this case we only collect and use those of your data that your web browser automatically transmits to us, such as:

  • the date and time when you accessed one of our web pages
  • your browser type,
  • the browser settings,
  • the operating system you use,
  • the web page you most recently visited
  • the transmitted data volume and the access status (file transmitted, file not found, etc.), and
  • your IP address.

During an informational visit, we collect and use this data solely in an anonymous form. This data is required to allow you to use the web pages you access, and is used for statistical purposes and to improve our online services. We store your IP address only for the duration of your visit, and no personalized evaluation is made.

Contact form

The information collected in our contact form, such as name, e-mail address, subject and country, as well as your message, is only used to respond to your inquiry. After completion of the processing, the information will be deleted. Only to the extent that data is required to be archived due to legal provisions regarding the archiving of e-mail communication (e-mails are commercial and business correspondence), data will be retained for a maximum of 10 years.

For the above mentioned purpose, your data may be forwarded to service providers that provide support to us. All of these service providers have been carefully selected by us. They are either technical service providers or service providers assisting us in the dispatch of products.

Otherwise, we will only forward your data to third parties if there is a legal requirement for us to do so.

Use of Cookies

We use the technology of “cookies” for our website. Cookies are small text files which are sent to your browser by our web server as part of your visit to our website and are stored on your computer for later retrieval.
This website uses cookies to the following extent:

Transient cookies (temporary use)
– Internal session cookies

Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. These include, in particular, session cookies. They store a so-called session ID which allows various inquiries from your browser to be allocated to the same shared session. This allows your computer to be recognized when you return to the website. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close your browser.

You can configure your browser settings as you desire, and refuse to accept third-party cookies or even all cookies, for example. But in that case, please be aware that you might not be able to use all the functions of this website.

More information on how cookies can be rejected by special browser plug-ins is also provided in the introduction to the section on Embedded Services further down in our Privacy Policy.

We neither collect nor save personal data in cookies for these purposes, nor do we apply any technology that connects the information acquired through cookies with user data.

More information on the topic of cookies can be found on the Internet platform of the Technical University of Berlin – “Verbraucher sicher online” (Consumers Safe Online):

Embedded Services

We have integrated the following external services into our website for the purposes of designing our online offers and providing additional functions.

Special browser plug-ins make it possible to deactivate each of the services described below, i. e. they disable the required connections to the relevant servers. However, please be aware that the use of such tools might lead to losses of the everyday comfort you are used to, as many things will not function any longer the way you would normally expect.

If you are interested, we recommend the use of tools such as NoScript, uBlock Origin or uMatrix. There are many tools aiming at increasing the general security of Internet traffic, but these tools do not automatically promote data protection.

jQuery.com

Our website uses the JavaScript library jQuery. This library primarily enables a modern design of our web pages.

The JavaScript library jQuery was developed by the jQuery team of the JS Foundation:

Social Media Links

Within our website there are links to various social media. These are not social media plug-ins, but only links to our offers within such media. Every time you click on one of these links, your IP address will be transmitted to the operators of the respective platforms. Should you use one of these services and also be logged on with your specific account, it is possible that information regarding your surfing behaviours might be collected by the social media operators. The transmission of your IP address to the operators of the websites you retrieve is technically required and applies to all websites.
