Our dear friend, colleague and ILSE Vice President, John Martin MBE, has passed away.
He lost his fight against cancer and died peacefully at the age of 67, surrounded by his wife and family.
John’s commitment and dedication to Lifesaving was invaluable and his legacy will live on.
John Martin has been the Vice President of ILSE since 2012. ILSE already honored John Martin in 2015 as Ambassador in the European Order of Lifesaving and thanked him for his outstanding efforts and commitments. His involvement and work for ILS and ILSE never decreased.
With great regret and sadness now we have to take note of the passing away of our longstanding friend and would like to thank him.
He is cherished in our memories.
