To celebrate 40 years of the World Games, the International World Games Association (IWGA) has just published a list of the 24 greatest athletes who have been successful during that time.
The ILS nominated Marcel Hassemeier from Germany to be included in this list of the best athletes who have participated at a World Games event, and is pleased to announce that he was selected. He was voted as the World Games Athlete of 2013 after he won 4 gold and 1 silver medals at the Cali, Colombia World Games.
