On May 2nd, 2023, Folkert Hoogslag died unexpectedly.
Folkert Hoogslag from KNBRD, Netherlands, was well known to all friends in lifesaving as an extraordinary specialist of the ILSE Risk Assessment system. He was a Risk Assessor, Tutor and Senior Tutor and worked on the ILSE Risk Assessment rules as a ‘man of the first hour’. He led uncountable courses to educate new Risk Assessors and to renew and revalidate licenses in the Netherlands and all over Europe.
We are remembering his exceptional service for Lifesaving and especially Risk Assessment in Europe. ILSE send the deepest sympathy to his family.
